To celebrate "Children's Environmental Health Month," Utah's first-ever Children's Environmental Health Fair was held on October 8, 2004, on the Salt Lake City Public Library plaza.
Representatives from 10 environmental, health, and children's organizations set up 28 booths to help the public learn more about children's environmental health issues.
Topics included asthma, lead poisoning prevention, second-hand smoke, skin cancer, radon, safe drinking water, water quality, and violence and injury prevention.
