Children’s Environmental Health Month Declaration

Whereas, Utah values quality of the environment and quality of life; and

Whereas, Utah understands the link between children’s health and the environment; and

Whereas, Utah takes positive action to improve children’s environmental health; and

Whereas, Utah commits resources to identify and solve children’s environmental health issues; and

Whereas, Utah demonstrates through partnerships that making a difference is possible; and

Whereas, Utah teaches children to make a difference;

Now, therefore, I, Olene S. Walker, Governor of the State of Utah, do hereby:

Challenge all of us to learn more about children’s environmental health; work together; and improve the environment in our communities, schools and homes; and

Declare October as

Children’s Environmental Health Month
